Adrienne Young & Little Sadie: Art of Virtue
By Kevin Kerfoot
A lot of time, talent and passion went into Adrienne’s sophomore effort and it shows. These 15 numbers, mostly originals written with Will Kimbrough and Mark D. Sanders, are packed with catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics. She is joined by Tim Stafford, Mike Bub and Rob McCoury on the traditional "Jump The Broom" and the biographical "Rastus Russell." You’ll also find an Uncle Dave Macon number, an instrumental, a gospel number and a few old-time fiddle tunes. Highpoints include the catchy original "Hills And Hollers," the gentle "My Love Will Keep" and the descriptive "Pretty Ella Arkansas."
