Friend of Wildlife!
10/20/2006
Wow, Nashville! What fun we had at the (hopefully!) First Annual Good Food for Good People! We were so inspired by how many of you came out to celebrate, and we're deeply thankful to all the truly wonderful folks who helped us pull it off. Within a few short hours of the show, Adrienne and Little Sadie were back on the road -- headed to North Carolina and then Virginia where Adrienne was honored to receive an award from the Virginia Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries!
As many of you know, AYLS were approached to participate in the Virginia Wildlife Action Plan video. The band recorded a special version of "Hills & Hollers" and Adrienne provided on screen narration for the piece. The finished product, thanks to the hard work of the good people at Game and Inland Fisheries, is a truly beautiful, moving and monumental part of the Action Plan and is sure to generate support for conservation not only state-wide but nation-wide as well.
Now, Adrienne has been double honored after being presented on Tuesday morning with a gorgeous hand-carved wooden and marble plague that reads:
Friend of Wildlife
Adrienne Young
In recognition and deep appreciation for her considerable contributions to the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, the Virginia Wildlife Action Plan, and future generations of Virginians.
Be Wild! Grow Wild! Live Wild!

We're working on getting the video uploaded into the Trunk, so all of you will be able to share in it as well. While in Virginia, the band is getting final touches done on the forthcoming album "Room to Grow" -- expect to see it in stores in February!
