The Art Of Virtue
4/26/2005
It has been awhile.
So much movement...and all blessed!
We here at AddieBelle Music, have signed a distribution deal in conjunction with Ryko.
It is a dream I've had for some years now, and it's happening.
The Art Of Virtue will be released nationally on June 28th, 2005.
I am so grateful.
The band of Brothers & Sister is ROCKIN' and we are finding our feet to be synched up in all the right places.
The new line-up is comprised of the fantastically fetching Eric Merrill on the fiddle, who studied at Indiana University, and in Ireland, which all led him to his current status as rising wonder, and respected advocate of trad & Irish music. Check out his website and his record, the Western Star (one of my most favorite of all times), at

A SERIOUS old-time banjo player, to boot!
Flynn Cohen, with a fine fettle made for fashion, is our nimble git picker, a Berkely grad/bluegrass devotee, also, as is Eric Merrill, steeped in the Irish tradition...did I mention the euphonious tone
of his lovely record, Deadstring Rhythm??
On the stand-up bass, Mister Kyle Kegerreis.
YOU MUST HEAR/SEE THIS MAN PLAY! He is an incredible, accomplished musician and one of the funniest, sweetest spirits that ever walked this Green Earth. LOVE HIM!
Also has a great record he made with our friend and brilliant guitar artist, Hans Holsen, Songs You've Never Heard, but you will, and soon!
And, last but not least (there are no leasts in this band), the Solid-As-A-Rock Eric Platz on kit, percussion, and rhythm.
Another Bostonian, as are Eric M. & Flynn, he attended Brown University and completed his graduate studies in music, again, an ingenius talent and a HECK of a Nice Guy!
Lays It Down!
As fantastic as last year was, it's a whole new ballgame now...our group energy has somehow gone off and distilled itself and there is truly a joyful cohesiveness present hitherto unseen.
MILLE GRATZIE!
Dreams DO come true.
We'd love to catch you at some shows this summer...the energy from the folks we've been playing for...worth every dang mile, let me tell you.
Cheers!
