10-13-2011 Heritage Harvest Festival at Monticello, LIFE: the AMAZING GIFT, Autumn shows booked
Greetings to you, dear friend! We last caught up in December of '010, a longer spell than I would've preferred but Life has been so full and miraculous that, honestly, words could not express. I imagine the same goes for you and so, rather than trying to make up for lost time, please allow me to just say WELCOME BACK, my friend - it's so good to connect, once again. 2011 has flown passed as only the wings of time can, and the beauty our Supreme Creator has blessed me with, is again, a challenge to express except to say that daily I drink from the chalice of Life's Gifts with wondrous gratitude...for all, I give thanks. Now, what ELSE is going on? Well, Backyard Revolution is alive and kicking, on the verge of our third year as a part of Monticello and Southern Exposure Seed Exchange's 5th Annual, Heritage Harvest Festival. Backyard Revolution will be present and accounted for with over thirty workshops and learning opportunities scheduled throughout the day. Feel free to visit our schedule and, if you will be in the Charlottesville area on September 17th, please join us!
We are also floating atop an ocean of new material, (songs, speeches, shanty's, and prayers) and will be debuting our KICKSTARTER campaign in the next month, through which we aim to raise support for our next recording project. I am soberly intoxicated with this new collection of expression taking cues from Early America, my Family, our chickens, sheep, goat, and dogs, the rocks and rills of Virginia, the gift of each and every breath, my brilliant musical collaborators, and the sense that there is Great Change coming for which we must stand ready !
Our radio show is moving into it's third year on 106.1 The Corner, where Brad Savage (voted Triple AAA Program Director of the YEAR) and I chat every other Friday morning, around 9am. Our topics include guests devoted to the sustainable traditions of our forebears, as well as, helpful how-to’s on transitioning towards a non-petroleum dependent mindset and explorations of our collective ‘Roots’ which offer freely to today’s grand and glorious ‘Trees’, their undying support. All the episodes are available on the Corner Website.
Lots of intriguing opportunities just ‘round the bend to stay in touch, online and in person! Please visit our Facebook pages - (and LIKE us, if you do) adrienneyoung-ramsey, backyard revolution. Check out the upcoming dates to come out and listen live to our Songs of Revolution, old and new. We would certainly love to see you.
Brightest Blessings to you and yours this Autumn, may Godspeed you to a place of comfort, security, and truth.
With much love,
