 Thanks to all our friends who ventured forth into the wild and wooly woods of Virginia to make our bi-annual Antique Sale and Open Hearth Cooking celebration a weekend to remember! The snow flurries only made our spots by the fire more cozy and we look forward to having everyone return for the next shindig which will be held on Father's Day weekend, 2010. As an added bonus, we are throwing in a complementary canoe paddle down the James, complete with a swim (in the skinny or close to it) for all you summer shoppers. Antiques are the ultimate demonstration of consumer responsibility - talk about recycling - you can't go wrong! Now, for the REALLY BIG NEWS - we are so very proud and honored to announce the debut of our first official BACKYARD REVOLUTION FESTIVAL! Less than a year after BYR made it's debut as part of the Albemarle County Fair, and was fortunate enough to earn a featured (and treasured) presence at Monticello's/Southern Exposure Seed Exchange's Heritage Harvest Festival, which led to a smashing participation at the First Annual Brew Ridge Music Festival, and the wonderful Crozet Music Festival, we are so grateful to announce our very own, stand alone, Backyard Revolution! A 2 day festival, we'll count on seeing you there on Mother's Day weekend - May 8th and 9th, 2010 - at the Devil's Backbone Brewery, nestled serenely in the foothills of our home, Nelson County, Virginia. Meanwhile, stay tuned for all sorts of fun stuff for the family and YOU that we are gearing up for including, new and terribly fresh, musical offerings!
