10-10-2006 Good Food for Good People

Our only gig in Nashville this year, we are honored to say that it is in conjunction with a whole posse of compatriots!
The National Land Trust Alliance rally is being held this weekend in Nashville - and with open arms we welcome all you LTA'ers!
Meet us at the Exit/In, from 7-9pm, for the inaugural 'Good Food for Good People Festival' where we will celebrate the family farm! Local chefs will prepare local foods, donated by area farms.
Sponsored by Wild Oats, Nashville Farmers Market, Turnip Truck, Produce Place, and many others, this evening will provide a festive atmosphere abundant in opportunities to meet your local growers, support locally grown, sustainable produce, and learn about the benefits and preparation of raw food. If you haven't yet sampled enzyme-rich, 'living', aka 'raw' cuisine, then you are in for a treaty treat as concoctions made by the fabulous Laura Button will be available for your enjoyment. You'll also be able to meet representatives from the TN Land Trust, the American Community Garden Association, Nashville Farmer's Market, Hills & Hollers CSA, AND MORE!
Did we mention that the fantastic Morweena Lasko and Jay Punn are kicking off the music? A phenomenal duo from up Charlottesville way, our friends and true trailblazers on the acoustic front... www.mojamusic.net
